Back into the North Sea. On a bright moonlit night, a Lowestoft Drifter liesquietly to her nets. Most of the crew are sat round aft, chatting, but someonehas come forward to "just check" the cables, and to have a quiet smoke.The rest of the fleet can be seen in the background.(I used so much cobalt blue in the sky, that is has a coppery sheen to it!)Circa 1900.Collection of Mr. V Cornell
