An early morning approach to Port Erin, on the Isle of Man. Once again,SV Espanola is motoring in to pick up the outer can buoy in the harbourfor a few hours rest before heading north (the far left of the picture), to Peel and the Peel Traditional Boat Festival.The tower is Milner's Tower, a folly, built on top of Bradda Head.Espanola is shown with a hybrid of rigs between the old bermudan and the newer Gaff, as she had her old mast destroyed in the lockpit of Liverpool Marina whilst the painting was unfinished!Circa 1998.
